In 1996, Fred Rogers was asked a question about computers becoming common in classrooms. His response, shared decades before the era of iPads, AI, and virtual classrooms, remains arguably more relevant today than ever: "These days more and more children are being exposed to fancier and fancier machinery... No matter how helpful they are as tools...they don't begin to compare in significance to the teacher-child relationship."

Mr. Rogers famously championed a simple idea: before a child memorizes the word "cat," they should pet a real cat. They should watch one sleep, observe how it moves, and learn empathy through experience.
