Meet Stephanie: The Family Travel Expert
Hi, I’m Stephanie, mom, former teacher, family traveler, and the creator behind Wander With Stephanie, where I share practical tips, honest experiences, and inspiration for traveling with kids.
Travel has always been a big part of my life. Before having children, my husband and I spent years exploring the world together. When we became parents to our daughter, Skyler, and later our son, Parker, we made a promise to ourselves that even though life would look different, we would continue traveling and intentionally make some of our children’s education happen through those experiences.
Micro-schools and Pod Learning
These students enjoy flexible, personalized learning that adapts curriculum as needed. Kids interact with their peers to develop social skills and emotional growth. For pod learning, parents can share the responsibilities of homeschooling and have the option to bring in educators. For micro-schools, small classrooms mean educators thoroughly get to know their students and how to best support them. And with the use of virtual learning, school can come with you wherever you go.
How to Create a Structured Homeschool Routine That Works
Homeschooling offers unparalleled flexibility, but without structure, that freedom can quickly turn into chaos. A well-designed routine is the backbone of a successful homeschool experience. It reduces decision fatigue, instills discipline, and ensures that all essential subjects are covered.
Creating a schedule that respects your family's unique dynamics is key to academic success and a harmonious home environment.
A structured homeschool routine can include plenty of outdoor learning time. The students in the picture are searching for petroglyphs during their weekly class.
Maximizing Potential: The Impact of One-On-One Instruction on Student Growth
In today's fast-paced educational landscape, finding the right approach to unlock a student's full potential can be challenging. While traditional classroom settings offer a valuable shared experience, the power of personalized, one-on-one instruction remains unparalleled in driving significant academic growth.
Embracing Neurodiversity: How Homeschooling Unlocks Potential for Neurodiverse Children
“Homeschooling holds immense promise for neurodiverse children, offering a nurturing and empowering alternative to traditional education. By embracing neurodiversity, tailoring learning environments, providing individualized support, and fostering a love for learning, homeschooling empowers neurodiverse children to thrive, embrace their unique strengths, and reach their full potential. As we continue to champion inclusivity and diversity in education, let us celebrate the rich tapestry of neurodiversity and the boundless possibilities it holds for every child.”
